How It Started
Honestly, it was born out of frustration. We found ourselves constantly looking at our full wardrobe, and nothing was really speaking to us.
It was either too trendy, too fancy, or just not something that we would really wear twice. We wanted pieces that looked great without having to go through a whole mental process every day. Pieces that would work for a normal Tuesday, but also work if the day took an unexpected turn.
So, we started By Ellison for ourselves, and if this is something that will also work for other women, great.
What We Sell and Why
We don't carry hundreds of styles. That's on purpose.
Every single thing in this store is something we would actually wear. Not just something we would maybe buy, but something we would actually wear. To work. To run errands. To grab coffee with a friend. We look for things that are well-made, look good, aren't complicated, and don't fall apart after two washings.
No gimmicks. Just clothes.
How We Work
We are a small online-only brand, and we work with manufacturing partners, which keeps things simple and allows us to focus on what really matters: the product and the experience of buying the product.
